|
| Q: |
The program is unable to find multimedia
files, why? |
| A: |
There are several possible reasons for this.
Generally, it could be one of two things: either
you have no multimedia files located on your
computer, or the program settings are preventing
you from finding what you are looking for. This
could be because:
- - The minimum and maximum sizes of files to look
for are set incorrectly
If the size intervals are set incorrectly for
Media files. Generally, it is not recommended to
change these settings, unless you are an
experienced user.
- - You have chosen to search a part of your
computer that contais no multimedia files
The program allows you to specify what part of
your computer to search. This can be useful in
order to minimize scanning time, but also provides
a less extensive search.
- - You have chosen only to look for a certain
type of files
The program allows you to specify what type of
files to look for. For instance, if you chose to
look for file sharing applications only, the
program will ignore multimedia files. |

| Q: |
The program is unable to locate
installed P2P applications, why? |
| A: |
There are several possible reasons for this.
Generally, it could be one of two things: either
you have no P2P applications installed on your
computer, or the program settings prevent you from
finding what you are looking for. This could be
because:
- - You have chosen to search a part of your
computer, where no P2P applications are installed
The program allows you to specify what part of
your computer to search. This can be useful in
order to minimize scanning time, but also provides
a less extensive search. Normally, installed
applications will be located in “C:\Program
files\”.
- - You have chosen only to look for a certain
type of files
The program allows you to specify what type of
files to look for. For instance, if you chose to
look for multimedia files only, the program will
ignore P2P applications.

| |
|
| Q: |
Some P2P applications are not completely
removed, why? |
| A: |
This is most likely caused by the lack of an
appropriate uninstaller for the respective P2P
application. When the program removes P2P
applications, it attempts to launch their default
uninstaller. If no such is present, the program
will simply delete the application files. In this
case, some files might not be removed, such as
desktop shortcuts. Furthermore, some uninstallers
may leave folders or files containing settings for
the application for future installations. This
does not mean that the applications are still
there, and if you wish, any or all of the
remaining files can be deleted manually. |
| |
|
| Q: |
How do I recover deleted files? |
| A: |
You can’t. Once files are deleted, they cannot
be recreated. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Is it possible to hide files from the
program, by changing their name or extension? |
| A: |
No. The program uses advanced binary recognition,
locating all known multimedia file types and P2P
applications, regardless of their name and
extension. |
